Understanding Your Dashboard
Accessing the Dashboard
Your Ultimate Social Proof dashboard is your central hub for monitoring widget performance and understanding how social proof is impacting your store. To access it, open the Ultimate Social Proof app from your Shopify admin. The dashboard loads automatically as your home screen.
Key Metrics Explained
At the top of your dashboard, you'll find three summary cards that give you a quick snapshot of your widget performance:
Impressions
This metric shows the total number of times your social proof widgets were displayed to visitors during the selected time period. Below the main number, you'll also see the count of unique impressions, which helps you understand how many distinct widget views occurred.
Session Exposures
Session exposures represent the number of visitor sessions where at least one social proof widget was shown. This tells you how many shopping sessions were touched by your social proof messaging. The dashboard also displays the average sessions per day for easy comparison.
Assisted Revenue and Orders
This is where you see the business impact. Assisted revenue shows the total sales value attributed to sessions where visitors saw your social proof widgets before making a purchase. The helper text shows the number of assisted orders that contributed to this revenue.
Traffic Chart
Below the summary cards, you'll find an interactive time-series chart labeled "Exposure over time." This visualization displays two data series:
- Impressions (blue line with shaded area): Shows how many times widgets were displayed over time
- Session Exposures (green line): Shows the number of sessions exposed to widgets over time
The chart automatically adjusts its time intervals based on your selected date range:
- Single day: Data grouped by hour
- Up to 7 days: Data grouped by day
- Up to 60 days: Data grouped by day
- Up to 365 days: Data grouped by week
- Beyond 365 days: Data grouped by month
Hover over any point on the chart to see detailed values for that time period.
Widget Performance Table
The widget performance table provides a detailed breakdown of how each widget type is performing. The table includes the following columns:
- Widget type: The name of the widget (e.g., Toast, Inline variants)
- Impressions: Total times that widget was displayed
- Visitors: Number of unique sessions that saw the widget
- Assisted orders: Orders placed by visitors who saw this widget
- Assisted revenue: Revenue from those assisted orders
- Conv %: Conversion rate (orders divided by visitors)
This breakdown helps you identify which widgets are driving the most engagement and revenue for your store.
Date Range Selector
The toolbar at the top of the dashboard includes a date range selector with convenient presets:
- Today
- Yesterday
- Last 7 days
- Last 30 days
- Last 90 days
- Last 365 days
- Custom range (select specific start and end dates)
Simply click the date selector to choose your preferred time period. The dashboard will refresh automatically with data for that range.
Widget Type Filter
Next to the date selector, you can filter the chart data by widget type:
- All widgets: Shows combined data for all widget types
- Toast: Shows only toast notification widgets
- Inline: Shows only inline widgets embedded in your pages
This filter affects the traffic chart visualization while the summary cards always show shop-wide totals.
Analytics History by Plan
The amount of historical data available depends on your subscription plan:
| Plan | Analytics History |
|---|---|
| Free | 7 days |
| Basic | 7 days |
| Plus | 90 days |
| Pro | Unlimited |
If you select a date range that exceeds your plan's limit, the dashboard will automatically adjust to show the maximum allowed range. A prompt will appear offering the option to upgrade for access to more historical data.
Date range presets that exceed your plan's limit will be grayed out in the selector, showing which plan is required to unlock them.
