Installing Ultimate Social Proof

Overview

Installing Ultimate Social Proof on your Shopify store takes just a few minutes. This guide walks you through the entire process, from finding the app to confirming a successful installation.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, make sure you have:

• An active Shopify store on any plan (Basic, Shopify, Advanced, or Plus)
• Admin access to your Shopify store (you need to be the store owner or have staff permissions to install apps)

Step-by-Step Installation

Step 1: Find the App in the Shopify App Store

1. Log in to your Shopify admin dashboard
2. Click Apps in the left sidebar
3. Click Visit Shopify App Store or go directly to the Ultimate Social Proof listing
4. Search for "Ultimate Social Proof" if you navigated to the App Store manually

Step 4: Automatic Setup Completes

Once you approve the installation, Ultimate Social Proof automatically configures itself in the background. This typically takes just a few seconds. Here is what happens:

• Webhook registration — The app subscribes to order events so it can track new purchases in real-time
• Metafield setup — A "Recent Sales (24h)" metafield definition is created for your products, enabling inline social proof widgets
• Timezone detection — Your store's timezone is detected and saved, ensuring analytics and time-based features display correctly
• Plan synchronization — Your subscription plan capabilities are synced so features are available immediately

Confirming Successful Installation

After installation completes, you will be redirected to the Ultimate Social Proof dashboard inside your Shopify admin. To confirm everything is working:

1. Check the dashboard — You should see the main app interface with options to create and customize widgets
2. Verify in Apps list — Go to Apps in your Shopify admin sidebar. Ultimate Social Proof should appear in your installed apps
3. Test a widget — Create a simple notification widget and preview it on your storefront to ensure everything is connected
